The Places We've Gone
In only ten months we have traveled the world.
We have time traveled and been to places that were previously undiscovered.
We have jumped into battle and seen attire jeweled and pearled.
I just hope the school has all the international fees covered.
From the twisted and deadly love triangle at the Heights
to a New Year's party gone wrong in Camelot.
We braved the battles of Beowolf, more brave than a knight,
only to see an Archbishop die from an unstable King's plot.
Great Britain still hid more secrets for us to find,
secrets that made the streets dangerous at night.
During the day London seemed so refined,
yet once the potion was gone, the evil side would run into flight.
We have seen the most cunning escape plans,
all thought up by a noble Englishman, who we thought no more than a block.
We have seen power destroy the most noble of man,
He began to murder those in his way, as if they were mere roadblocks.
We have seen a science experiment gone terribly poor,
the peaceful Swiss Alps haunted by an unspeakable monster.
We have seen men who lied their whole life, we were sure
but when they heard the truth, they could not have been happier.
We have learned an appreciation for these artists,
for they can paint a picture with only words on a page.
While some may have been more saucy, others more polished,
each one offered a lesson, something sage.
Thank You, Mrs. Mosley for sharing with us these stories.
We may not have always enjoyed each story as much as you did,
but each day we left with our brains full and never empty
We are forever grateful because you shared your passion with us
and we wish you the best in the future, which is just a blank canvas.
