The incident
Prologue
“I will never fall in love.”
Not after what pain it has caused my mom--giving all for herself to just end up broken in the end. I see love as an incident put on this ridiculous place we call earth. Love does nothing more than just make you happy for a long time until someone just stops loving you. Then he does not want to hurt you simply saying, “I’m sorry… I’m done. I’m leaving.” So he picks up his suitcase and walks out that door without looking back, in the dark of night. You are sitting on the stairs as you watch the person you once loved walk right out of that door without saying “goodbye.”
Love is just a huge incident that hits when you’re young and dumb. Just take my mom for example; she fell in love with her best friend. They both went to different colleges, but somehow “love” brought them back together. They got married and had me. My name is Aly and I’m 17 years old now. I witnessed the incident of love when I was 14. Since that day, I have given up on this idea of “love” because love is just a tragedy to witness first hand.
Seeing your father whom you have known for the past fourteen years just walk out of the house with a suitcase and not tell the people he once loved “goodbye,” shows how much I will never fall in love!
